Dr. Terry Cummings, Au.D.

You deserve to hear the beautiful sounds of life, and this has been our goal for over 30 years on the Eastern plains of Colorado. Our independent private practice has been serving the hearing health care needs of Sterling and surrounding communities to both children and adults. To this end, all services are provided by Colorado Licensed Audiologists, Board Certified by the American Board of Audiology.

Dr Cummings has just completed his term as President of the Colorado Academy of Audiology and now serves in the office of Past President of the Academy. During his time of service two very important pieces of legislation were passed into law. One providing for licensure of all Audiologist in the state to better serve and protect the public and insure the highest standards of care.  Also, “The Children’s Hearing Aid Act”, SB 57 was passed which requires insurance coverage for hearing aids for children.  “ I am very proud of the dedicated professionals and concerned citizens who worked tirelessly to pass these important laws”  says Dr.  Cummings. Terry is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and Academy of Doctors of Audiology.

“I really love helping people improve their communication abilities  and the one-on-one time spent with each patient brings a great sense of personal satisfaction and a feeling of a life ‘well lived”. This passion is seen in Dr. Cummings long commitment to the field of Audiology. He was one of the early professionals to earn the newly designated Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) from the University of Florida. In addition, Terry has earned a Master of Arts degree from the University of Denver and a Bachelor of Science degree Eastern Kentucky University.
